Countdown to Sitarama: Yathalakunta Tunnel Gets 25-Day Deadline

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has directed officials to complete the construction and lining of the Yathalakunta tunnel—a key component of the Sitarama Lift Irrigation Project—within 25 days. Aimed at an official inauguration by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in October, the Minister emphasized rigorous technical standards, including thorough concrete reinforcement and grouting during his site inspection in Sathupalli mandal. Supported by newly allocated land acquisition funds, this initiative marks a major step forward in delivering Godavari water to secure regional irrigation.
